The brand new Valhalla Resort Hotel has opened its' doors for the first time in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Helen, Georgia. The resort boasts 25 luxury suite rooms, each with a private balcony, a fireplace and a relaxing rainfall shower in this 'Old World Scottish Castle' design that combines 'old world charm and Southern hospitality'.
Visitors can also enjoy the breathtaking views of the North Georgia Mountains or get a round in as the hotel is situated inside the Innsbruck Golf Community. Amenities include the Solasta Spa, the Caledonia Dining Room, the Abbey Wine Cellar, 24-hour room service and al-fresco dining at the roof-top Sky Bar.
Visitors can spend their day exploring the North Georgia Mountains, taking in numerous walks and treks, kayaking, enjoying some fishing, experience local wine tasting or some shopping in Helen's Bavarian Village. The estate is also located close to Unicoi State Park and Mount Yonah winery.
Room rates start at $395 (£303) per night.
As members of the esteemed Valhalla Club, visitors can also enjoy reduced lodgings, dining and spa treatments.
